First of all thats MC cable not BX… Second there are DC approved wire specifically used for solar panel installations. Third the MC cable is not water tight and should not be used on roofs! Hire a Qualified Electrician not some handyman!!
WTF…Now I have seen everything. HUH..there’s no code here. DA it’s called the National Electrical Code. I give up, I’ve been a Master Electrician for over thirty years. I’m gonna buy a hot dog stand.
LOL. “We’re not really concerned with 12-40 volts.” I AM! Especially when all you did was “get a good twist” on the wires. Talk about stupid. I know nothing about solar panels but I go to school for electrical engineering…and “a good twist” on 40 volts probably isn’t the way to go.

MC can not be used outside where exposed to weather per NEC further what does he have a connector on the MC cable. There is a J-box behind the panel to connect to. It’s about the higher amperage not the voltage you dope!
anyone wants to learn ,go to school .use these videos as references and read the comments. but go to school look into it at local cooleges and boces…they are certified coureses
